CYNTHIA FULTON: FOUNDER, DIRECTOR, TEACHER Cynthia, a printmaker and mother of four, has been teaching art for 40 years. She is currently taking a break from the classroom, but continues to direct the future of Meadowedge, and plans to return to teaching this summer. She attended Boston University and RISD. After organizing a small summer art program on Martha’s Vineyard in 1968, she joined the Peace Corps in India, where she taught Montessori School in a tribal village, and later in Brooklyn Heights, NY. Cynthia and her husband arrived in the Valley in1972, and in 1974, Cynthia completed her BFA in art education and certification to teach art. After serving as artist in residence in area schools, she founded the original Meadowedge Art for Children in 1984. Four years later, she joined the faculty at Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, where she taught 11-14 yr old boys art for 19 years. 413-219-7807 cfulton@meadowedgeart.com
| HEATHER FULTON: TEACHER/PROGRAM MANAGER Heather designs classes with a sense of thoughtfulness and implements them with humor. She has been with Meadowedge since April of 2010, and has lived and worked in the valley for most of her life. A painter/collage artist, with a BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design, Heather incorporates art history while encouraging unexplored technique and spontaneity. She has taught art to children in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, VA, and locally at The Full Circle School. You can see her artwork at: www.fulton.myexpose.com. | JOELLE CULLEN-DEANE: BUSINESS MANAGER Joelle lives in Bernardston with her two children and husband. She comes to Meadowedge Art with a varied professional background including work at the Austine School for the Deaf, Dharma Seed Tape Library, the Erving Senior Center and now as the part-time bookkeeper for Meadowedge.
